A Weekend to Remember at Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este

A Milestone for CARISSIMO

As spring blooms and summer unfolds its warmth, I had the privilege to attend the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este from May 24-26, 2024. Nestled in the scenic landscapes of Lake Como, this event is a dream for any automotive enthusiast, blending timeless elegance with cutting-edge design.

The highlight of the weekend was witnessing the Alfa Romeo 8C 2300 Spider from 1932 win the prestigious Trofeo BMW Group for Best of Show. This classic, one of only 30 built, captivated the judges with its exceptional preservation and stunning coachwork by Figoni.

The People’s Choice

Equally thrilling was the Coppa d'Oro Villa d'Este, awarded by public vote to the McLaren F1. This iconic car, known as the fastest naturally aspirated production car ever, showcased its enduring appeal and engineering excellence, proving that modern marvels can hold their own among vintage classics.

Italy’s Automotive Tapestry

The event wasn’t just about awards; the Public Day at Villa Erba attracted thousands of visitors. Enthusiasts enjoyed a vibrant parade of cars, cultural exhibits, and various automotive attractions. It was an unforgettable experience, filled with passionate car lovers and breathtaking vehicles.

Attending Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este was more than just a professional endeavor; it was a heartfelt journey into the world of automotive artistry and heritage. I look forward to potentially collaborating with the remarkable individuals I met and bringing more exquisite vehicles to future events in the US.

Stay tuned for more updates and I hope to see some of you at the Arizona Concours in January!
